“Polish and Pray” is a tradition started by our Varsity mom’s last year as a way to support our boys and coaches and to recognize the hard work they all do over the season. Moms, siblings and any family member who wants to attend will meet at the Field House in the Varsity locker room after the Varsity Pregame Meal on the night before the game (usually 6:45 or so). There we “polish” – basically spruce up the locker room, wipe down lockers, make it look nice for the boys as the come in Friday morning and “pray” led by parents inspired to say a word … or bunch of words … of prayer for our boys and coaches. We also leave each Varsity athlete a note of encouragement and support for their game. It is a special and bonding time and a way to get involved in a way that the boys immediately recognize. Though focused on Varsity game day, this is meant to support all GHS football players. Please join us this Thursday and every Pregame night for “Polish and Pray”.
